We will be selling Super Bowl squares for $5 each during the league playdown tomorrow night. The payouts are $50 for the first three quarters and $100 for the final score. The other half of the money will go to the club. Please bring a few spare bucks!
Here are the pairings for the opening night of the club playdown. These games will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and we'll have two draws as normal. Check both draws as four teams will have two games. Congratulations to the Grimm Sweepers, who placed first in the regular season standings and will have an opening-round bye. They play at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The remainder of the playdown schedule will be finished yet today. Just making sure times, sheets of ice, etc. don't clash. Every team should have at least one game through the three weeks of the playdown. Good luck and good curling!

Our new Aberdeen Curling Club swag has arrived!
I will go through it and pull out individual orders to take to league next week. Orders should have prices on them, but I haven't even dug into the boxes yet. My car is completely packed with boxes of curling club shirts, caps, hoodies, shot glasses, pens, etc.
In other words, there is a lot. So I'm on the lookout for two things. One is totes, so I can keep the gear organized and get anything that's needed relatively efficiently. The other is space. I think I will need help storing everything. Like I said, it's a lot. If you can help in either way, give me a text or call at 605-228-2617. Thank you.
Quick reminders that you can register for our bonspiel, which is Jan. 5-7 on the website. The other is our next open curl is set to be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10. I will have a signup sheet at league next week. We need 15 people to make it worthwhile.

The Aberdeen Curling Club executive board gave final approval Monday at its regular meeting of a new logo for the club. This is the first logo update in club history.

To view the budget log into the website, click the drop down menu titled "curling", then click on the news tab. There club members can view the budget.
